A woman's constancy is beneficial.
利女貞。
Wind comes forth from fire: The Family. The exemplary person's words have substance, and their conduct has continuity.
風自火出，家人。君子以言有物，而行有恆。

Setting limits within the household. Regret vanishes.
Line 1 sets the household boundary before its habits spread. When the firm base yields, lower Fire becomes Mountain and the result is Hexagram 53, gradual movement below Wind.

No independent undertaking; attending to food within the household. Constancy is favorable.
Food preparation occupies Line 2 within the received household order; the line does not turn that role into a modern gender rule. Making the center firm gives Heaven below Wind and produces Hexagram 9.

家人嗃嗃，悔厲，吉。婦子嘻嘻，終吝。
Harsh severity in the household brings regret and danger, yet remains favorable. If wife and children laugh without restraint, it ends in regret.
Line 3 closes inner Fire between harsh order and unrestrained laughter. Neither is a modern household rule. Changing the line makes Thunder below Wind and yields Hexagram 42.

Enriching the household. Greatly favorable.
The household grows rich at Line 4, the base of outer Wind. A firm line there turns Wind into Heaven and produces Hexagram 13.

The king comes to his household. Do not worry. Favorable.
The king reaches the household at Line 5, Wind's firm center. Changing that line to yielding makes Mountain above Fire and yields Hexagram 22.

There is trust and an awe-inspiring bearing. In the end, favorable.
Trust and authority close the household sequence at Line 6. When the firm top yields, Wind becomes Water and the resulting figure is Hexagram 63, Water above Fire.
